Throttle valves: JACOB throttle valves and regulators precisely control the air flow and product transport and can be flexibly incorporated in our pull-ring system thanks to their lipped ends. We have a wide portfolio of standard products – from manually adjustable throttle valves and pneumatic rotary actuators to electrically operated adjustable actuator. Other actuators and larger diameters are available on request. We reserve the right to alter design specifications.
Throttle valves without seal when closed:
- Diameters of 60 – 400 mm
- Hand-operated, made of powder-coated, galvanised and stainless steel
- Pneumatically operated with a rotary actuator, and electrically operated with an electric motor, in powder-coated and stainless steel
- Both shafts are sealed with an O-ring made of Viton and a conductive EPDM seal to discharge charges on the inner flap to the housing
- Neither of the O-ring seals are in contact with the product
- FOOD GRADE stainless steel version dually compliant for contact with food in accordance with EC 1935/2004 plus FDA
- Versions with a diameter over 350 mm are alternatively available with loose flanges.
Throttle valves with seal when closed:
- Diameters of 80 – 400 mm
- Hand-operated, pneumatically operated with a rotary actuator, and electrically operated with an electric motor, powder-coated and stainless steel
- Up to a diameter of 200 mm, the valve is tested as shock explosion proof externally up to 3 bar over-pressure
- Electric shock explosion proof in a closed condition in conjunction with a pneumatic rotary actuator. Compressed air connection with 5 bar minimum operating pressure
- The standard quality with an inner valve seal is made of silicone rubber
- Both shafts are sealed with an O-ring made of Viton and a conductive EPDM seal to discharge charges on the inner flap to the housing
- Neither of the O-ring seals are in contact with the product
- FOOD GRADE stainless steel version dually compliant with EC 1935/2004 plus FDA for contact with food, including all parts in contact with foodstuffs and any sealing materials and glues
- Please refer to chapter 11 for information on special throttle valve versions with a seal in diameters of over 400 mm
Electrically operated BELIMO valve actuators (IP 42):
Overload proof, in standard version without limit switches. The valve remains under tension in the respective end position. Consumption approx. 4 watt. Switch-over time for 90° approx. 150 seconds. Valves larger than DN 300 mm without a seal and larger than DN 200 mm with a seal are not fitted with a BELIMO actuator in standard quality. Larger diameters available on request. Flexibly adjustable limit switches for switching off and remote controlling, or as a continuously adjustable actuator, are available at additional cost.
