JACOB pipeworks has been regularly tested for use in potentially explosive environments since 1980. The products are examined for their shock explosion resistance by means of a gas explosion, dust explosion or stress analysis. The results are documented in test reports from our external partners such as DEKRA GmbH and Inburex Consulting GmbH.
Shock explosion proof up to 1 bar overpressure – pull-ring connection
Pipes and press-formed components up to DN 315 with a wall thickness of 1 to 1.5 mm with (Quick Connect) pull-ring connections made of mild steel and stainless steel were tested.

In order to maintain the shock explosion proof, the pipe parts in operation must be checked regularly for wear and corrosion. Deteriorated components must be replaced.
